2017-January: Dorybird cloth diapers with wing-to-wing prints
I had the solid PUL outers and microfleece inners cut out for a very long time. I finally sewed them up, adding some wing-to-wing (W2W) prints -- all for C.! These are size Large.
2017-January: Rest of the Motherease Repairs!
Here they are! The rest of my repaired Motherease Wizard diapers!
This post shows the first one I fixed.
Below are all the rest!

Each one looks different with its own unique contrasting FOE and snaps (of course! Would you expect anything else from me?). I love how they turned out, and they work great! The only issue for me is that C. is starting to outgrow them, even with the extra snap setting I put on them. These are great diapers, and so easy to use, too!
2017-January: Dorybird Cloth Diapers!
In January I worked hard to get a variety of my cloth diapers ready for my shop launch in March.
I ended up making 10 diapers in Newborn, Small, Medium, and Large.

All these diapers (and subsequent new ones, of course!) can now be found in my shop!

2016-November: Refurbishing Mother-ease Wizard cloth diapers!
I recently discovered Mother-ease Wizard diapers for C. and I really like them. So I got 14 (yes, fourteen!) of them (Unos and Duos) from Cloth Diaper Trader for really cheap. They all need some cosmetic help, so I got a rainbow of fold-over elastic (FOE) to fix them up! The goal is to transition over to using them and slowly keep selling off other diapers from my stash.
I just finished the first of them! Read on to see the finished result!

Here are the diapers and the FOE. Oh, I had fun mixing and matching!
My FOE outside on a nice day (E was playing with it!)
OK, first I took off the wing snaps. I needed room for the FOE!
I took the refurbishing opportunity to actually add a snap setting. (You can't even tell, right? the snaps matched really well! And the diaper just has blank space there by the edge, so it was perfect.)
C. is big and this extra setting will help the dipes last longer.
Here I am, sewing the FOE on and about to finish it off not-so-well. I'm going to do it differently on the rest!
Done! Contrast snaps!!
I sewed the FOE right over the existing elastic, but I think I need to take it off on the others, because overall the diaper just became too snug, even on my "new" last snap setting. And I know from my wildflower cover that a FOE-edged cover works great with the Wizard system.
While I was at it, I added a snap setting to another Mother-ease Wizard Duo I had (from the trial package that made me a fan of this diaper!). For some reason, the Duos have pesky hip snaps (the Unos don't), so I took those off, too. Neither of my girls has ever needed hip snaps!
2016-October: Modified Cover for Mother-ease Duo insert
So remember that wildflowers diaper cover I made way back when? I never liked it much as-is, but by adding six snaps (those white ones you can barely see), I made it super functional!
It's now a homemade Mother-ease Wizard Duo cover and it works GREAT! I had an extra Mother-ease insert (from buying a trial pack), and it snaps right in. I do feel the need to inform you, internet, that those Mother-ease stay-dry inserts are quite absorbent and effective! And sadly no, no one is paying me to say that. ;)

2016-October: Rainbow of Dorybird Cloth Diapers for School
Hooray! I met my goal of making 8* super easy all-in-one diapers to use at C's nursery school! I made these assembly-line style, which -- big surprise here -- is a really fast way to make a lot of something! Ha ha.
*I actually made 10 total for school, when you include these two diapers.

2016-September: First "School Diaper" velcro AIO
Here is the first of many! School diapers! I talked with C.'s school about using cloth diapers, and they were on board. I knew I was going to sew up a stash to use at school, and I ordered supplies.
After a couple days sending a mix of velcro and snap diapers (mostly BumGenius), they told me they prefer velcro. I set about making a rainbow of EASY TO USE velcro AIO diapers! I don't prefer velcro, but I want to make cloth as easy as possible for them. (They seem a bit more hesitant than E's old school.)

Here is my rainbow of PUL
Here's the first finished diaper! The velcro is black because white was out of stock when I bought it, ha ha ha!
This particular diaper has a sewn-in soaker of Zorb and bamboo, plus a snap-in insert. I simultaneously made another copy out of the rainbow zigzag you see above. Ultimately I don't prefer any absorbency to be sewn in (drying time, ease of stuffing), so my subsequent AIOs had just snap-in inserts.
2016-September: Owls AIO cloth diaper
I drafted this diaper pattern myself, and it's . . . . not ideal. It's cute and it works, though!
Here comes a rainbow of snaps!
The wings are strangely long
snap-in insert
I mostly put my label on it to practice putting labels on! This is totally not my final design!
2016-July: Night stars hybrid fitted cloth diaper
I made a hybrid fitted diaper for C. for nighttime (Monkeez XL pattern) with hidden Windpro and a stay-dry inner sleeve. It wasn't super successful (it's bulky and inserts don't agitate out), but it does the job!
I didn't think the microfleece inner stay-dry part through very well, and the openings are too small. Oh well.
I also kept off that pesky third snap setting! That third snap just makes the diaper too tight, or if you leave it unsnapped, you need a hip snap cover or it will leave ouchy marks!
